Instead of spending as much time waiting in the regular standby line, you may be able to enter through a separate queue during your reserved arrival window.
Disney occasionally updates how Lightning Lane works, what attractions participate, and how reservations are made. Because of that, I always recommend checking the latest information before your trip.
The important thing to know is this:
Lightning Lane is a tool.
Not a requirement.
Some vacations benefit from it tremendously.
Others don't.

If you've watched Disney planning videos online, you've probably noticed something.
One creator says Lightning Lane is absolutely essential.

Disney isn't a competition.
You don't have to ride every attraction to have an amazing trip.

Lightning Lane is meant to help your day, not control it.
I've seen families spend so much time refreshing the app and worrying about their next reservation that they miss the little moments happening right in front of them.
Put the phone away whenever you can.

Because of that, Lightning Lane isn't always the game changer people expect it to be.
I'd rather see you enjoy a relaxed day than spend the whole time rushing from reservation to reservation.

This is where Lightning Lane often makes the most sense.
If your teenagers are excited about thrill rides and have a long list of attractions they don't want to miss, shorter waits can make a noticeable difference.
It may allow your family to fit more into the day while still leaving time for meals and breaks.
