Late August Through September: The Best Combination of Lower Prices and Lower Crowds
If your schedule allows for it, late August and September are some of my favorite times to send clients to Disney World.
Many schools are back in session, which means crowds tend to be lighter and resort prices are often lower than during major holidays and school breaks.
There are a few trade-offs to keep in mind:
It's still very hot in Florida.
Afternoon rain showers are common.
It's technically hurricane season.
Now, before that last point scares you away, I always like to be honest with my clients. I have personally been at Disney World during a hurricane, and I was incredibly impressed with how Disney handled everything. No time of year is completely risk-free when it comes to weather, but September can offer incredible value for families with flexible schedules.
Mid-January Through Early February: A Hidden Gem
After the holiday decorations come down and the New Year's crowds head home, Disney World enters one of its quieter seasons.

Lower crowd levels
Shorter wait times
A more relaxed pace
The only downside is that some rides may be temporarily closed for refurbishment, and you'll want to pack layers since mornings and evenings can feel surprisingly chilly.
Early November: One of Disney's Best Kept Secrets
I absolutely love early November.
The Halloween crowds have left, the holiday rush hasn't quite arrived yet, and Disney begins decorating for Christmas.
You can often enjoy:
Comfortable temperatures
Lower crowds
Beautiful holiday decorations
A festive atmosphere without peak holiday pricing
For many families, this time of year offers one of the best overall values.
Early December: The Sweet Spot for Christmas Lovers
If you've always wanted to experience Disney at Christmas, early December can be magical.
The parks are fully decorated, seasonal treats are everywhere, and the atmosphere feels incredibly special.
Crowds do begin to increase as Christmas approaches, but the first week or two of December can still be a wonderful time to visit before the holiday rush truly arrives.
What About Summer and School Breaks?
I know that not every family can pull their kids out of school, and that's okay.
Summer, spring break, and holiday vacations are incredibly popular because they work for many families' schedules.
While these times usually come with higher prices and larger crowds, they can still be amazing vacations with the right strategy.
